The Swingset

So after much going around and around with swingsets. what I wanted i couldn't get as my dh is not Bob the Builder and FiL is too far away to come help put it up. also despite my friends husband saying he would help. we went with a swingset that included assembly. While it is half of what i was looking at for the same price. i must say it is an ok swingset. (still want the one at Sam's club though woodridge i think it is called) We got this from Crown of MN. it is the same set as the neighbors. We originally were going with just swing and tower but dh said might as well get the monkey bars also. it came with also a larger rock wall and then the picnic table which we didn't install. The bottom will be a playhouse when FiL gets here to wall it in. (not sure when that will be)
This is Sam waiting and watching the swingset go up. it took the workmen 5 hours to put it up.

Finally the up. this is actually a few days later. i moved the sandbox over. i started to stain it only to find the stain wasn't matching. so i removed the seating on the sandbox(was cracked anyway) I stained the inside of the sand box so i at least could fill it and will do the outside later. the box was made by FiL. I wanted a wooden box that went on the end for sand toys but what FiL made was WAY too big. so that has been moved. the bottom of the set will eventually be floored and three walls added with a door to make the bottom a playhouse for Sam cuz right now she won't go up the stairs. Funny story is I went up there to see how it was and Bailey (seen in picture) followed me up. she climbed the stairs. it made me laugh so hard, i never saw a dog climb the stairs before. oh and the monkey bars. i thought, hell why do we need those the kids won't use them. oh i was wrong. camden is climbing on them all the time. also when it was going up, i thought man i should have done it on an angle but now that i have the sandbox there it is shaded by the building so it works great cuz Sam loves to play in the box.
