Gift Card Card

I know some have said not to give Gift cards this year but you could also use the slot to put cash in folded up or a check.

What you will need:

12 by 12 sheet piece of cardstock
paper trimmer
adhesive
punch (square or slot punch, I used square)
embellishment
1. First cut your 12x12 paper to the size of 5.5 x 12. reserve the other piece for another card later.
2. Make 3 score lines at 4", 6" and 8" and fold so that your paper resembles a W.

3. apply adhesive there. on the inner arch of the W. Look at my picture below, see were the white lines are. put the adhesive there. and then stick then fold so that it is looking like a regular folded card but with this flap in the center.

5. Now using a card you may have on hand mark where you want your slit to go. I put mine in the middle. you can have your card going long ways or short. (I took a poll and most like short)
Mark your paper and using your punch make a slit for your card. for long way your slit will be 3.5 " and for short it would be 2 1/4".

6. Now embellish like you wish. I embossed the front in my cuttlebug. added some embellies. I like to stick a embelly on the inside by the slit. you don't have to. I also stamp the back side but again. this part is up to you.
